...And as Paul Harvey used to say, "AND THERE YOU HAVE...THE REST OF THE STORY!".

Wow, that definitely WAS worth asking you to relate the story, and as Dick said: thank you very much for doing so. My only experience in buying anything from T.G. was my purchase several years ago of one set of his own special-made 0.187-26 and 0.195-26 Tap-and-Die kits (with which, I must admit, I have been very pleased and have used a number of times to re-chase or re-tap 26-tpi threads on several Trapdoors. I will also say that at least one of my well-known TRAPDOOR-dealer friends has had quite a few dealings with him (trading and selling back-and-forth) and been relatively well-pleased. But, you just never know!

Well, thanks for sharing your experiences, and I guess if there is indeed a moral to this whole scenario it is "CAVEAT EMPTOR" (as the Romans used to say when buying used swords).

Thanks very much, Ken!

Best,

PETE
