I'm sure some of the things he sells are just fine, and I'm sure that he has some, perhaps many, satisfied customers. I am ALSO sure of the following:

(1) He unabashedly assembles guns from parts (source: personal telephone conversation)

(2) He has written some VERY "misleading" ads (source: personal observation, based on 40+ years of collecting, and actual ownership of the "rare" item described (which were NOT what they were said to be)

(3) He was, just a couple of months ago, found guilty of defrauding a man over a purported "Custer period carbine". I was involved in that case as an expert witness.

All I would say in summation is that, IMHO, that firm would not be a very good place for a novice to shop. Are there some "good" guns there - of course there are, but a buyer would be wise, IMHO, to do their OWN "due dilligence" and not depend solely on the seller's description.
