Re: carbine rear site screws

Posted by Jasonz in MO on Saturday, 25 September 2010, at 11:39 a.m., in response to carbine rear site screws, posted by Jasonz in MO on Saturday, 25 September 2010, at 10:53 a.m.

answered my own question... I found they are just over an 1/8th inch deep or about .140" I started to drill them and chickened out! That's when I posted the question. Then I found an eazy out which would fit in the 1/16" hole I already started and they both backed out perfectly!

The gun is now ready for a rear site! A week ago today I didn't even know what a Springfield 45/70 trapdoor was! I wasn't even into guns that much but I have a feeling I will be looking for more trapdoors... Wonder how the wife is gonna like that!

Dick, I'll tell her I'm getting ready for the SECOND Mexican war!
