1842 springfield

Posted by rasmus on Tuesday, 21 September 2010, at 9:27 p.m.

Came across a Springfield made 1842 musket in 69 cal. Appears to be in good condition. Has ramrod and bayonet. Sounds like a smoothbore as description calls it a "foraging muzzleloader" Although it does have a front sight. Have only seen one picture of it on local gunstore's website. Have no info on markings, etc. Curious what fair market value would be assuming correct and average condition. Thank-you in advance.
