Re: Ammunition for trapdoors.

My question relates and hopefully doesn't sidetrack the thread. As soon as the weather cools a bit here down South, I plan to take my 1873 TD rifle and my carbine out for a shoot at the range. However, I only have the expensive Goex .45-70-405 BP ammo. What can I expect from shooting that ammo (intended for rifle) in my carbine? A sore shoulder -- or more?
