Hey Cy,

If you'd asked me BEFORE we were at OGCA I could have (and WOULD have been happy to have) given you about 200 of my .45-59-420 Carbine and about 300 of the .45-70-500 Rifle hand-loads made with GOEX 2F black powder; Frank Ehrenford's Mt. Baldy 20:1 Lead:Tin 3-groove bullets (the 420-grain Carbine bullets are round-nose/hollow-base and the 500-grain Rifle are round-nose/flat-base; Starline Nickel-plated .45-70 Government cases; and Federal Large Magnum Rifle Primers [and I have good Chronograph data on a number of samples of both].

However - - barring that - - I checked the "AMMO" listings on MidwayUSA's On-line Ordering System. Most of the black powder un-jacketed 405-grain/flat-nose stuff they stock(GOEX "Black-Dawg"; Black Hills Cowboy; etc.) runs around $33.00 - $35.00 for a 20-round box.

I will also check the listing at AbleAmmo (in Huntsville, Texas) and see what they carry. They usually have a huge selection of both guns (at least pistols) and ammo and found themn to be an excellent suplier. That is where I just bought my little COLT "DEFENDER" .45/ACP "1911" clone and also a bunch of MagTech .45/ACP target ammo and Speer "GOLD DOT" jacketed hollow-point low-velocity for short-barreled arms. I found their inventory quite large and their people great to deal with.

Anyhow, I will see what I can find for you and report back via E-Mail.
