Mike, I just had to jump in here. As earlier stated please get the late Spencer Wolfs book located at Wolfs Western Traders. I believe they may still offer the great Repo slings, Stainless cleaning pads that will not scratch Springfield blue but will remove rust and leave the blue and also show many different loads for your Trapdoor. I use there loads on everything from Trapdoors, Sharps and Winchester All black powder. The Trapdoor shoots high so get ready for that. Have your rifles checked for safety by someone that knows what they are doing and have them slugged at the same time. As far as shooting them (smoke um if you got em) take great care of them and remember you can't take them with you... PS they were not ment to be Wall Hangers. Sincerely, Larry Sunday
