Well all be.. that is where most of mine come from. Not copper but brass. I detected the FC site for more than 15 years. Charlene and Harvey will attest to that.

I hope you still have your cartridge as I'd like to see it. If that is the case, I bet it is a 500 grain bullet for a rifle and had seated itself in say a m1879 carbine or rifle or so. At least one cannot load a 500 grain bullet in my m1879 rifle or m1873 carbine without a whole lot of effort... then you better shoot it out and hope it goes off.
