Ken - You have sparked my interest in reproducing the original Arsenal loadings for th .45-70 cartridge. I have been looking at .45-70 Springfield Book II by Mr. Frasca and Hill. There is a section there that describes the rifle and carbine cartridges of 1898. " The lubricant consists of Bayberry Tallow and Japan wax". No ratios given. Do you have plans to try Bayberry Tallow? Regards, Jim
