Thank all you guys very much! With all this information on the net, it should keep me busy for a while & be very informative. I didn't want to put the Trap Door back in the closet, but the ammo thing is kinda' scary. Both Winchester & Remington say that their rounds can be fired in any .45-70, but they are jacketed with a lead hollow point. They don't say what the powder load is, however. I'll look for Pat Wolf's book, check out the Lee Loading kit this morning. Sounds like a good project for an old retired guy, plus getting to shoot the Trap Door the right way. Thanks again & I'll be sure to post what I've found & done.
