Hello Jack,

Well I checked through all four Volumes of the SPRINGFIELD RESEARCH SERVICE'S "SERIAL NUMBERS OF U.S. MARTIAL ARMS", and your S/N 360274 is not in there - - and there aren't any even close.

VOLUME #1:

360202 A Model 1884R 11-01-1898 [Company-G, 4th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry]

360529 A Model 1884R 11-19-1898 [SAME]

VOLUME #2:

360100 A Model 1884R 03-31-1943 [WWII Donation to U.S. NAVY]

360427 A Model 1884R 03-31-1943 [SAME - - Most likely used as Line-Throwers Between two adjacent Ships at sea].

VOLUME #3:

No S/Ns 360000 at all [they jumped from 359XXX to 362XXX].

VOLUME #4:

359500 A Model 1884 1898 [Company-E of 1st Connecticut Volunteer Infantry]

360529 A Model 1884R 12-29-1898 [Company-I 4th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry].

Not much there to work with, I'm sorry to say. And if it isn 't here, it will most likely not be anywhere else. Sorry...

With best Regards,

PETE
