Custer's body27

Posted by Fred on Tuesday, 29 June 2010, at 10:13 a.m.

I've got the book Doug Scott co-authored on that archaeological project that he signed for me. I've known Doug for many years. In his book, he mentions how Custer's body was covered over with logs and a tarp before the earth was thrown back on. The body that was disintered and moved did NOT have anything on top of it. I believe they got the wrong body. Just like the body in Daniel Boone's grave that was moved from where he was originaly buried in Missouri where he'd wanted to stay. He'd anticipated his body being moved and according to some close friends who told of it years later, had the marker of his grave switched with that of a loyal black servant of his. The servant went east and Dan'l stayed in Missouri, overlooking the river.
