I do have Poyer's book (incredible). In it he lists the parts that are replaced on the "starred" guns but also lists the "might be replaced" parts. My question was how to determine which of the "might be replaced" have actually been replaced, or is it even possible?

It would be nice to know something of the original guns from which these guns were created but I suppose there were no records of original serial numbers matched to new serial numbers.

Poyer doesn't really address the question of value of these guns other than to say they are "quite collectible."
