Re: To Don Harpold; Swiss Powder

Hi Don, How are you? I guess you have been keeping up on this Japan wax business. Tomorrow I am putting together 20 rounds of .45/70/500 using bullets lubed with Japan wax and olive oil compound, and these will also be my first cartridges loaded with Swiss FFg. I don't anticipate any problems, but you never know. I won't be able to get out to shoot these until Monday at the earliest. I still want to soften up this mixture some more, as it is still pretty tough going through the lubersizer. I have thought about the graphite idea too. I wonder if the graphite that comes in a squeeze tube would work. It seems to be very fine in granulation. Any thoughts? I will be posting my findings here for Larry Sunday and some of the other guys who've been curious about Japan wax. Regards, Ken Smith
