Question for shooters...

Posted by FrontierWest on Monday, 7 June 2010, at 10:36 a.m.

Acquired a Spencer 56/56 1860 carbine. I'm aware that one can cut down 50-70 brass, but my question is what to do for the bullet? I have not slugged the barrel yet, but does one need a flatter nose point to avoid the nose to primer while in the feed tube?

Any one have any suggestions and what works for them. The gun has an excellent barrel and looks to be a good shooter and came with two blocks, centerfire and rime fire.

Thanks,

John
