Sadly, there is no way to post pictures here - you would have to email them directly to one of us, or post them to a hosting site. While "restoration" can sometimes be a dirty word, ESPECIALLY if any of the markings were "refreshed", I'm not yet convinced that yours is - and CERTAINLY not on the basis of a reversed band. When SA refinished a rifle, they just blued it - they did NOT re-do the casehardening colors.

The only odd thing is that 1881-vintage riflea re seldom found in the condition you describe, and, when they are, I'm not sure anyone would consider the price "reasonable".

In short, I'd have to see the gun.
