Re: carbine stock

Now that is the way to FAKE a carbine stock when cutting down a rifle stock. Do not just fill the rod groove. They shaveed the forend wood down to the band catch then back under the band grafted a piece on and shaped the stock end like a carbine. You can just see the fine lines in his pictures. Also the serial number dates to 1883. No carbines were produced that year.
