Re: story of trapdoors

Hi Fred, Boy, that sounds like the Government. About 25 years ago I witnessed the disposal of desks, tables, chairs, filing cabinets, crates with no telling what was in them, and two near new drill presses, all consigned to a hole in the ground. Once there a dozer was walked over all this stuff assuring it's destruction. This was all serviceable stuff which could have been auctioned off, or for that matter given to someone who could have made use of it. What a waste of our tax dollars. Those Springfields need to be exhumed as historic items and given to those who appreciate them. They are probably in pretty bad shape, but they should not be allowed to rot in the ground.
