Re: Pete's Colt SAA

Congratulations, Bob - - there are a number of VERY nice "John Kopec-blessed" 1st Generation SAAs (all Cavalry Models with the 7-1/2" barrel length, as well as one which Mr. Kopec referred to as a "rare Artillery Model which still has the 7-1/2" barrel and, I believe, all matching S/N parts) on the COLLECTORS FIREARMS WebSite (in Houston, Texas. But we are talking in the range (of the ones presently listed) of about $7,500-$41,500, but most are pretty nice and include ones inspected by David F. Clark, Orville Ainsley, Rinaldo A. Carr, Captain John E. Greer, and Henry Nettleton. The one I found (at Eastern Branch Firearms in Whitefield, Maine) had David F. Clark's cartouche and stamped "U.S." with the "D.F.C." initials and with all matching S/N.

I have been looking around for a nice 2nd or 3rd Generation in .45/LC.

Best regards,
