136,xxx is correct for 1880 production. Sometime in July-Dec. depending on the rest of the x's.

If in fact it is 13,xxx it could not have been produced in 1880.

The PWP should be SWP for Samuel W Porter Master Armorer at Springfield. Stocks were marked with his Cartouche around 1879 & on to end of production.

If you have a 5 digit serial number & an 1880 Cartouche, walk away from it unless you just have to buy a TD mismatch to play with.
