Sam, My advice to you, after 40+ years of specializing in the collecting of such arms, plus authoring a book on the subject, is, DON"T pay very much for it - say $450 tops - it is NOT a carbine, no matter what the barrel happens to measure, or what the pawnbroker says. If you want a shooter, or an inexpensive den decorator, fine, but do NOT buy it as ANY sort of an "investment".
