Mr. Hosmer, Thanks very much for the valuable info you provided me on my semi-new to me M1873 TD which I purchased in August. Based upon your info I purchased it. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond but i've been out of the country on business in Europe and Korea. Anyway, The SN is 175822*. It has a 1881 accepantance cartouch and the (P) on the wrist. It has an earlier sideplate, with 1873 on it. IT appears to have not been messed with, just good honest wear. Nice rifling and shoots quite nice with quality loads. After finding zero we were using handloads and destroying hedge apples about the size of large apples at 25 yards. Out to 100 yards (the limit of my range) it will hold 2.5 to 3". Not bad for my 53 year old eyes and a 128 year old carbine!!! I am extremely happy with it!1 Do you have any info on it (175822*)or TD's 285066 or 520306 in your data base? Thanks again for your valuable info and for a SIMPLY GREAT SITE!!!
