Re: US Model 1884 Information

I have a Model 1884 that my Grandfather found in a garage he was cleaning out for a woman when he was a boy. She said he could have it if he wanted it. Times sure have changed, a seventy year old woman giving a 12 year old a gun, well that's the story anyway. SER# 516189. Stock has cracks around receiver section, bore looks pretty good, finish is all but gone, markings are all good. Wish I could find a replacement stock so I felt safe to shoot it. Can you give me any history on this rifle?/ To my email address please. Thank you for your time.
