Breakdown (VERY rough) is 423,000 rifles. 60,000 carbines, 60,000 rod-bayonet rifles, 22,000 cadets, and 3,500 "specials".

From that you might assume that, if a rifle were $X, a cadet would bring $20X . NOT!!! While carbines might fetch $3X, and (common) RBRs might be $1.1X, cadets often languish at dead even.

Personally, I think they should bring considerably more, but I've actually been told, more than once, that since they were not used to kill, they were not interesting.
