School Cut-down/Boy,s Rifle ?

Posted by SKIP on Friday, 22 May 2009, at 2:23 p.m.

Dick -Have you ever come across a cut-down w/a 20" barrel, the stock cut about 10" above the rear band, but tapered in a way the ram rod groove is exposed for 6". It has a breech block, milled, flat on top,w/a handle on the left side, and milled flat cover that fits where the cam lock sits, and a solid firing pin tunnel. Late hammer, sling swiveled trigger guard. Cartouche 1891, serial 511858.Appears to be a childs rifle, not a cadet(have one). Any ideas. Also have an 1873 w/1879 upgrades bought after SRS shut down, any info. THX SKIP
