Re: Tulsa show prices

Ernie, I hope Red is OK. I did not make the Tulsa show this time. I also have bought a rifle and several parts from Red over the years. Several years ago I bought a RRB 88 rifle from him. Average condition outside but it had a beautiful bore and it had not been (upgraded). I could not pass it up but as usual did not have the cash on me. I asked him if he would take a check and to my suprise he said Yes! He did know me from Adam. I later sent him a target I shot with the rifle and thanked him again for takeing my check and trusting me. As the late Paul Harvey said "Here is rest of the story". About two years after buying the 88 from Red, I found a Krag Carbine from another dealer at the Tulsa show. Again no cash on hand...The dealer would not take a check from me. But he did ask if I knew any of the dealers at the show that I had purchased from before. At a long shot I thought of Red a few rows away. Well me and the "other dealer" went to see Red. Well Red remembered me and told the other dealer "I will vouch for him his money is good". I was floored that he remembered me and would basically back up my check. Just a testament to the man I thought you might enjoy. Larry Sunday
