This is getting STRANGE! The Schoeppels were from Florida!

I do not recall exactly when Carl, Sr. passed away, as I had not heard from him for quite a while, and when I finally got around to sending him a letter (he never used a computer) it was forwarded to his son, Carl, Jr. At that time, in the mid-1990s - the Schoeppl family STILL OWNED 36451 - in fact, there was even some talk of offering it to me on a "first refusal", based on our lengthy acquaintance. A fair offer - based on its' provenance - was WAY over my head, so I passed.

But, those dates do not square with your story. Are you SURE you have the number right? Could you describe the "Indian marks"? They were rather unique as I recall - and, I have photos of them SOMEwhere.
