You can still view this carbine by going to gunbroker.com, auction # 121753824. I was really having trouble with the pin on the front site, so the seller, who said it was a one piece site, took the gun down the street to Kieth Rush, who used a jewelers glass to find the pin on one side. Kieth said that it looked like a "damn" good gun. The only things I could see wrong is the three click tumber and the bronze nonmagnetic firing pin, which is no problem as this could be the donor gun for Monty's # 17425 restoration project if all the other parts are correct. I called Mr. Rush after I bought it and he thought it was a good canidate for the swap, but he had no history on it. I might add that the increased value of Monty's gun is not my motivation in helping to restore this priceless piece of history, as I don't care if it is ever sold!
