Good evening, Don,

If you are speaking of the same material I am thinking of it is a "STAINLESS RIBBON STEEL CLEANING PAD" which I had bought in May of 2004 from Wolf's Western Traders (when Pat Wolf was still living at her Chula Vista, CA address). I checked a few moments agop on the Wolf's Western Traders WebSite, and they still show it as a current product.

It is described as a: "Stainless Ribbon Steel Cleaning Pad"(actually in the form of a loosely-woven ball) and is identified by their SKU No. "A9", selling for $3.00 each. I was using it at the time to clean rather deep-seated rust off of the blued surface on a nice old Springfield Receiver, so didn't want to have to scour and ruin the remaining blue. The stuff worked just great, and I E-Mailed Pat and give it a great endorsement.

You can log into their WebSite at:

www dot the45-70book dot com and order directly OnLine.

With best regards to you and Frank.

PETE
