1. This is a minty unissued Indian War Carbine sling. In Book I, page 281, center image, we refer to this sling as the non-regulation type. We believe the sling was issued to scouts. This sling has never been issued and the leather is the rough finshed type found on CW belts. Sometimes known as dyed split hide. The wide buckle is the identifying feature of this sling. Also, the snap has stamped on the inside, C.B. North & Co/New Haven, Ct It has the right hardware with the addition of the central loop to extend the reach of the sling. $650 + S/H each.
