Model 1884 Rifle
MODEL 1884 RIFLE SN 464545 from the "Slim" Capps collection.. This is a
very nice trapdoor
cartouched SWP/1889.
The metal has strong blue and the color case on the block is strong on
the inside and weaker on the outside. The bore has VERY deep rifling and
is almost pristine. There appears to be two very small specks of dirt or
corrosion in one land.
I believe the gun was issued since there are a number of EXTREMELY
small marks in the stock. The cartouche and circled P are very deep
and sharp.
Everything
is correct on the gun and in perfect working order. The rifle photos
tell the story.
