MODEL 1873 rifle with all the right features. That is, right cleaning
rod, right trigger assembly, butt plate, lock plate, barrel, receiver,
rear sight with slotless screws that have not been tampered with, solid
front sight, no proof marks on barrel, and the third version of the Type I
cleaning rod. the cartouche and circled P are on the stock, but very hard
to see. There has been some light sanding done to the stock, but it has
not been damaging. the barrel bands have the small U marks and the upper
band has the Patent information. This is a great specimen with a great
bore.
