Model 1865 Spencer Carbine
Spencer Model 1865 carbine manufactured by the Burnside Rifle Company and
deeply stamped as such on the breech top. Serial number 32857 in 56-50
caliber with the traditional 3 groove shiny rifling. You have to look
hard to see what is left of the cartouches, but they are there. The
outside case colors are now mostly silver and the barrel blue has faded
and is thin. This is still a very solid and good looking piece and fairly
priced at $1895 + S/H.
