This rifle was evidently bought when the rifles were auctioned from
the Detroit library. It was taken home and never
cared-for.
The mid-west humidity took its toll on the exterior. However, the
bore is pristine up to near the muzzle. There is a little scale there
which is very minor. The inside of the block tells you the gun was in
new condition when it was sold from one of the crates in Detroit.
The SWP/1884 cartouche and circled P are sharp and deep. It has a repro
cleaning rod.
