M73 Rifle, SN193937
This SWP/1882 cartouched M73 rifle is in near mint condition. The
color case on the block and tang is strong and the the bluing is
strong on all the metal except the very top of the barrel where some
patina exists. The bore is like new and the stock has VERY few dings.
The rifle was covered with a sheet of dried nicotine that has been
removed from most of the gun. Some exists in the corners or the
rifle. The stock has not been sanded or refinished. The cartouche and
circled P are in new condition. The M79 sight is held with the original
slotless screws that have not been touched since the day they were
installed. This is an excellent
collector's piece.
1882 production rifles are hard to find in this
condition!!!! !
