Model 1873
Rifle SN175296
Model 1873 Rifle
This Model 1873
rifle, SN175296, is an excellent example of post 1877 rifle production.
It is not a
starred rifle, but made with all new parts with a cartouche date of
SWP/1881 clearly seen on the side of the stock. Likewise, the circled P
is also very sharp. The stock has very few dings and all of them are
shallow. However, there is a small repair next to the circled P. The
patch
is about the size of a dime. The color case is almost gone on the top of
the breech block, but it is VERY strong on the under side. Likewise, the
tang has a modeled color.
The barrel retains about 75% of its original blue, and has a M83
front sight protector in place. the lock and hammer have a blue/gray
modeled appearance and the trigger assembly and butt plate retain less
than 50% of
its original blue. The bore of the gun is pristine with shallow and
sharp
rifling lands.
$1195 + S/H.
The buyer has several days to inspect the gun, and if not satisfied, it
can be
returned for a full refund. Contact A.
