M66 Rifle
M66 Rifle
This early M66 three band rifle is in excellent condition.
The bore is shiny and the rifling is deep and
sharp. The stock has the Franco-Prussian HSH catouche and just a
hint of the earlier USA cartouches. The stock is an early one with
the large script N firing proof and the breech has one of the
early breech blocks with the rounded firing pin housing and the
screw retained two piece thumb piece. The lock is dated 1864 and
there is nice color case on it and the hammer.
A very collectible M66 rifle!!!!!
